Administrative Assistant | Part-Time | Hourly

About This Role
The role of the Administrative Assistant is to oversee all activities of the church office and provide a welcoming, positive, and confidential environment for all visitors during office hours. The Administrative Assistant also provides support for church activities, various church staff, and volunteers. This position handles many aspects of behind-the-scenes communication, administration, and logistical duties to support the church as well as handles the daily operations of the church office primarily through the training, equipping, and overseeing of volunteers, supplies and communication.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks of the Administrative Assistant
  • Perform office clerical tasks such as maintaining office supplies, church files, etc. 
  • Provide administrative support to the Lead Pastor and other staff members and ministry leaders as needed. 
  • Create a welcoming environment while performing tasks including receiving guests, scheduling meetings, answering phone calls, responding to voicemails, emails, etc. 
  • Coordinate, schedule, and maintain the church calendar to ensure facilities are used efficiently.
  • Maintain accuracy on the church website and ensure updates are regularly made. 
  • Maintain and update church records (for Partnership, etc.) using the church database software and provide reports to the Lead Pastor. 
  • Strategically communicate key events and information to the church by producing The Drop and other printed communication and managing registration for events.  
  • Schedule, attend, and record minutes for board meetings. . 
  • Coordinate staff meetings, lunches, etc. 
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for speaking engagements. 
  • Recruit, train, and oversee the volunteer administration team and connect central team.
  • Oversee regular maintenance, upkeep and purchasing of all office equipment, including staff kitchen and office technology.
  • Maintaining an inventory of church property and equipment. 
  • Perform other various tasks as assigned.

Your Schedule
This is a part-time, hourly position around 15-20 hours a week.
